Tidely: Liquidity, live on one screen.
Tidely is a cash-flow and liquidity planning SaaS used by businesses across Germany, in production with multiple customers and white-label deployments. I work on its Flutter Web frontend as part of a small dev team, shipping features across the product.
- Role: Flutter Web frontend, small dev team
- Product: Cash flow & liquidity SaaS
- Market: Germany · German + English
- Status: In production, white-label deployments
Problem
Finance teams lose sight of liquidity when cash-flow data lives in bank portals, accounting tools, spreadsheets and static reports. Every answer to "how long does our cash last" means assembling the picture by hand.
Solution
Tidely pulls bank accounts, ERP data, invoices and plan values into one live product: dashboards, forecasting, categorization and reports. I contribute to this as a frontend developer on the team, building features across the app in Flutter Web.
Result
The product is live with multiple paying customers and runs as white-label deployments for partner brands. Finance teams read their liquidity position from one dashboard instead of assembling it from scattered tools.
A live picture of liquidity
The dashboard is built from configurable widgets, so every company composes the view its finance workflow needs. Balances, payables and burn stay current from connected accounts rather than pasted numbers.
- Widgets for cash balance, expenditure, outstanding payables and receivables, budget and deposits
- Liquidity leverage, burn rate, runway and income tracking at a glance
- Top categories and per-bank-account overviews
- AI insights surfaced directly on dashboard widgets
Forecasting finance teams can act on
Cash-flow forecasting sits at the core of the product. A base forecast tracks actuals against plan week by week, and plan values let teams model what is coming before it hits the bank account.
- Base forecast with actuals versus forecast and scenario comparison
- Six plan-value types: one-time, recurring, relative, item-based, project and loan
- AI forecast on top of historic transactions
- Excel import and export for planning workflows
Every euro categorized
Transactions flow in from connected accounts and get reconciled against invoices. Rule-based categorization keeps the ledger clean without manual sorting, and open items stay visible until they are matched.
- Transaction views for categorized, uncategorized and archived items
- Rule-based auto-categorization on top of a nested category tree
- Sales and purchase invoices with expected payment dates and open amounts
- Invoice-to-transaction reconciliation with open-item tracking
Connected to live bank data, not exports
The data comes from where it lives: bank accounts, credit cards and accounting systems. Multi-company setups and consolidations let groups plan across subsidiaries in one place.
- Bank account and credit card connections with live sync
- ERP and accounting integrations, plus API keys for Zapier and Make
- Multiple companies, sub-companies and consolidations per account
- Standard and liquidity reports as downloads, plus a financial-services marketplace
My part in it
I joined Tidely as one of a small team of frontend developers on an already-live product, and I ship features across it on an ongoing basis. The backend is owned by other engineers on the team; my work is the Flutter Web app the customers actually touch.
- Flutter Web frontend with Async Redux state management
- Feature work across dashboard, forecasting, transactions and settings surfaces
- Shipped in German and English for the German market
- One codebase themed and deployed as multiple white-label brands
