MVP development, from idea to first release
Most MVPs die in the gap between "great idea" and "someone actually built it". I close that gap: one developer who scopes, designs, builds and ships your first release, then stays for what comes after launch.
How the work runs
- Discover: understand the real problem, the users and the workflow before any code.
- Scope: map features into a concrete, prioritized plan with an honest estimate.
- Build: short sprints with working software from the first one, not a big reveal at the end.
- Review: you see progress often, on your own phone, and your feedback shapes each sprint.
- Launch and support: store releases, fixes and improvements as real users arrive.
Why a single developer beats an agency for an MVP
Agencies quote in months and layers: account manager, project manager, then the developers. For a first release you need the opposite: one person who holds the whole product in their head, answers on WhatsApp and cuts scope honestly because they are not billing by headcount.
I have shipped 50+ projects for 11+ companies since 2019. Several of the apps I built years ago are still live in the stores today.
Results, not promises
Azima, a micro-loan app in Uganda I rebuilt, passed 100,000+ downloads on Google Play. Lengo, a language-learning app I worked on, passed 500K+ installs. BTE moved a whole collection business off spreadsheets onto a platform used daily for more than 18 months.
Frequently asked questions
I only have an idea. Is that enough to start?
Yes. That is how most projects here start. A free scoping call turns the idea into a concrete feature list, a realistic timeline and an honest cost estimate. You keep the plan even if we never work together.
How long does an MVP take?
Most MVPs here take weeks, not months, because the scope gets cut to what actually proves the idea. You see working software from the first sprint instead of a big reveal at the end.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, and that is exactly why the scoping call is free. You get a real estimate against a real feature list. Where possible I work fixed scope, so the number we agree on is the number you pay.
Do you work with non-technical founders?
Most of my clients are non-technical founders or operators. You do not need a spec or wireframes. Bring the idea in plain words, and the scoping call turns it into a feature list and plan you can read without any jargon.
Who owns the code?
You do. Full source code, your repositories, your store and cloud accounts, all from day one. No lock-in.
What happens after launch?
The work continues after go-live: store releases, fixes and improvements as real users show up. Several apps I built years ago are still live in the stores today.
The scoping call is free and you keep the plan either way.
